Over 7 years ago I began thinking about a decentralized system built on proof of WASM computation instead of hash evaluations. Today, I’m launching v0.0.1. The version number slightly understates the amount of thinking, specifying, coding, discarding ideas, prompting, deleting code, simplification, back to human coding, architecting, and even occasionally dreaming of p2p networks, that has happened since the idea was conceived. I’m extremely proud of what Scaffold has become. It has a long way to go but it’s a solid system that I believe has potential to become one of the foundations of the applications of the future.
